Quality Assurance
Quality Assurance - Success Through Planning, Prevention and Partnership
We’re committed to making sure your partnership with Horizon Pest Control remains focused on the goals and objectives of the New Jersey Extermination program that was created specifically for your business – whether it is a distribution center, food warehouse, hospital, restaurant or school.
To ensure success, our Quality Assurance and Technical Team will work with your key point people on steps you can take to help reach our goal of not just providing business pest control, but rather a pest-free environment at your business. This level of feedback and communication often results in higher levels of efficiency and performance.
What you can expect from Horizon’s Quality Assurance Program:
Dedication to Your Business – We will treat your business as if it were our own. With that in mind, we create an open line of communication between your go-to people and our auditor to ensure pests do not disturb or disrupt the day to day operations and profitability of your business.
Regular Audits – Our Technical and Quality Assurance Teams will perform audits of your facilities to reinforce good pest control practices, sanitation routines and IPM protocols.
Detailed Reporting – We maintain a QA Log Book which is kept at your facility to ensure continuous communication and to aid in audits and site inspections. Not only do we report our findings in this log, your key personnel may document any changes or new finding in it, as well as refer to MSDS, label and site map documentation pertinent to your facility.
Training – All of our Technical and Quality Assurance Team Members are state licensed and required to complete structured pest management training prior to servicing any client. Technicians servicing food manufacturing plants complete specialized training from the American Institute of Baking (AIB) before working in food environments, while those servicing schools complete IPM for Schools training. All Team Members attend regular company training sessions and also participate in specialized market segment training seminars throughout the year.
QualityPro Certification – We have taken many steps to provide you with a higher quality, more worthwhile service by becoming QualityPro certified. One of most important things about QualityPro companies is their commitment to provide environmentally responsible pest management. This means using integrated pest management, or IPM, to solve your pest problem.
An IPM approach is focused on the removal of the three key elements pests need to survive: food, water, and shelter. By concentrating on eliminating the sources of these elements, your business becomes a less desirable destination for pests, and greatly reduces the likelihood of an infestation. More importantly, IPM aims to correct the root cause of the pest problem, providing you with a longer-term solution to your pest problem in the least intrusive manner possible.
GreenPro Certification – GreenPro, as certified by the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), means Horizon stands out as an environmentally-responsible business. By meeting the standards of the program, we’ve taken on a whole new dimension: Employ a comprehensive, environmentally friendly approach when treating a property; Investigate the source of the problem – and eliminate it – before applying pesticides; Apply pesticides only when necessary.
IPM Certification - IPM is an abbreviation for Integrated Pest Management. Integrated Pest Management is a process involving common sense and sound solutions for treating and controlling pests. These solutions incorporate three basic steps: 1) inspection, 2) identification and 3) treatment. Treatment options vary from sealing cracks and removing food and water sources to pesticide treatments when necessary. For more information on IPM, visit whatisipm.org
