Pest of the Month
The House Mouse
When the weather turns cold outside, pests like the house mouse need to find food to eat and warmer areas to nest...like in your home!
Normally, people don't think of fall as being a time to worry about bugs flying around, and it's true that a lot of them become less active. However, the reality is that these pests don't just go away...they find new places to live where they can escape the cold outdoors.
Rodents are especially adept at finding new places to live. Since mice only need 1/4 inch of space to crawl through an opening, they can gain access to almost any home.
Rodents can smell food from 100's of feet away, so pet food or garbage in a garage can lure them toward your house. Once in your garage, even the tiniest of cracks could make your home vulnerable.

If only two mice sneak into your house, left untreated they could grow to a family of 100 in just three months? Many times the signs of an
infestation are very hard to detect until it's gotten out of control, but you may notice droppings (they can leave 100 behind in a day), gnaw marks where they have been chewing on things, or rub marks (dark greasy areas where they frequently travel).
Having preventative professional pest control is the best way to make sure your home is under protection from cold-weather pest threats.
