Community Programs
When the warmer temperatures of spring approach, flowers bloom, trees bud, and bugs - both the good ones and the bad - burst into action. Horizon Pest Control recognizes this, so we have developed a free interactive program for schools called, "The Good, the Bad, and the BUGly: An Introduction to What Makes a Pest a Pest."
Horizon's goal is to share our knowledge and experience in the New Jersey pest control industry with your students and you. "The Good, the Bad, and the BUGly" presents basic biology and behavior of various pests, including termites, ants, ladybugs, rodents, ticks, and bed bugs. Factual information is complimented with pictures, specimens, and videos of pests in action, as well as samples of damage that pests can do to homes and property. The program is geared toward students in the first and second grades who are learning about nature and insects. It runs about 30 minutes, but can be tailored to the needs of your class. We also provide fun handouts for your students to take home.
If you are interested in Horizon presenting "The Good, the Bad, and the BUGly" to your class or organization, please e-mail info@horizonpestcontrol.com or call 201-447-2530 to schedule a presentation.
